DÜSSELDORF, Germany, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) — The 2025 Düsseldorf International Medical Equipment Exhibition opened on November 17 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center in Germany, with artificial intelligence and robotics emerging as key focal points of the event. More than 1,300 Chinese enterprises are participating in the exhibition with their innovative products and services—marking the highest number of exhibitors from any single country.

The Düsseldorf International Medical Equipment Exhibition is one of the largest and most influential comprehensive medical equipment trade fairs globally. It focuses on showcasing products and services across various fields, including medical devices and equipment, digital health, laboratory analysis and diagnostics, physiotherapy and orthopedics, and medical consumables.

This year's exhibition has attracted over 5,300 exhibitors from approximately 70 countries and regions. Michael Degen, Executive Director of Messe Düsseldorf Group—the event's organizer—stated that artificial intelligence, robotics, digitalization, and networked healthcare are currently reshaping the healthcare industry. He noted that this exhibition will provide ample opportunities for discussion and exchange, while also showcasing a vast array of new products. On the exhibition floor, reporters observed that Chinese enterprises were present in nearly all of the more than ten exhibition halls, with some halls even featuring dedicated "China Pavilions."

Chongqing Xishan Science & Technology Co., Ltd., participating in the exhibition for the second time this year, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the production of surgical power systems. He Qingyu, the company's Marketing Director, expressed the company's hope to provide high-quality medical devices and services to an even wider global client base. Liu Ping, General Manager of Zhejiang Tiansong Medical Instrument Co., Ltd., remarked that her more than 20 years of experience participating in the exhibition have reinforced her firm belief that China's medical device industry is rapidly approaching world-class standards—and in certain niche sectors, has even already achieved a leading position.

“Not only has the number of participating Chinese enterprises increased, but the quality of their products has also improved.” Xia Tian, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department at the China Association for Medical Devices Industry—who has long been involved in organizing Chinese companies’ participation in trade shows—noted that the technological sophistication and product categories of Chinese medical devices are expanding year by year, and that Chinese enterprises are gaining recognition among global clients.

The exhibition runs for four days and is expected to attract 80,000 industry professionals from over 160 countries and regions.
